Marion Cotillard
Marion Cotillard is the most well-known French actress outside of France. She is best known for her Oscar-winning portrayal as legendary French singer Edith Piaf in the biopic La Môme (2007). She was the first French actress to receive an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Cotillard was raised in a creative family in Orléans, France: her dad was a filmmaker, and her mom was an artist. Cotillard’s parents were both members of a theater troupe, and she received her first taste of performing when she was cast in a movie directed by her father.
She went to Paris when she was a teenager to establish a professional career. Cotillard made her cinematic debut in Luc Besson’s Taxi (1998), playing the partner of a pizza guy who became a rogue taxi driver. In the next five years, two more films were released, and the Taxi series turned out to be one of France’s most popular. In 2005, she won a César Award, France’s most prestigious cinematic prize, for her role as a spiteful prostitute in A Very Long Engagement (2004).
Eva Green
Eva Green is a British-French actress and celebrity. She was born on July 6, 1980, in Paris, France. She is best known for her roles in films such as “The Dreamers,” “Casino Royale,” and “Penny Dreadful.”
Green studied acting in Paris and started her career on stage before transitioning to film. Her breakthrough role came in the risqué 2003 Bernardo Bertolucci film The Dreamers, in which she played a young Parisian who engages in a passionate, yet dysfunctional, relationship with her brother and an American exchange student.
Green then gained international recognition for her portrayal of Vesper Lynd, the love interest of James Bond in the 2006 film Casino Royale. She has since appeared in numerous films, including Kingdom of Heaven, Sin City, and 300: Rise of an Empire.

She’s succeeded in making a name for herself, and recently received critical acclaim for her performance as the mother of an accused rapist in The Accusation (2021), directed by her husband Yvan Attal.
Gainsbourg made her musical premiere with her dad on the song “Lemon Incest” and when she turned 15, she put out an album with him. However, she waited more than 20 years to release commercially and critically successful albums as a grownup.

Emma Mackey is a British-French actress. She was born on January 4, 1996, in Le Mans, France, to a British father and a French mother. She is best known for her role as Maeve Wiley in the Netflix series Sex Education. She works as an actress in both French and English.
Mackey studied at the University of Leeds, where she pursued a degree in English language and literature. She became interested in acting and joined a drama group during her studies. After graduation, she moved to London to pursue an acting career.
Mackey has also appeared in an acclaimed French biopic about Gustave Eiffel, Eiffel (2021), and the Agatha Christie murder mystery period piece Death on the Nile (2022).
